Go Motorsport Management appoints Elite Performance Coach

Go Motor Sport Management has appointed David McMillan as its Elite Performance Coach.

The ability for a driver to control their mental and emotional elements, analyse task performances as well as creating a mind-set for confidence and well-being is paramount for a driver’s performance.

This new role within the company will support all of Go Motorsport Management’s drivers with regular mental performance and mind-set management coaching in order to maximise their full potential. Alongside this David will also continue to look after his athletes from other discipline’s through his company Aspire Sports.

Mick Gomme, Director “I worked with David for many years during my career in Formula one and more recently have started working together again on various programmes. During this time, I realised what a huge benefit it would be to my drivers to have David on board with us. David has a unique style of coaching based on his extraordinary life experiences which include 22 years working in top flight motorsports including Formula One, working with the very best F1 drivers who are some of the most competitive individuals in World class sport. David has also climbed in the Himalayas many times pushing himself to the limits of human endurance.

David McMillan “Having worked with, and known Mick (for over twenty years) throughout my Formula One (F1) career, I’m delighted to join forces with him and combine our remarkable skillsets. There is over forty years of F1 experience between us; this is a unique offering for any young driver who seeks to maximise their opportunities at any level in motorsport. In the past, Mick devised and ran the Force India F1 Team Young Driver Academy, worked in a commercial and driver management role, and now manages several drivers in many series both domestic and international. I’m very excited to be part of this project that has already brought success both here in the UK, Asia the Middle East.
