Micah Stanley Crowned Porsche Carrera Cup GB Pro-Am Vice Champion
At the final round of the season at Brands Hatch over the weekend Micah Stanley secured 2nd place in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Pro Am Championship.
After scoring zero points at Silverstone after his crash it was not possible to win the Championship and Micah had his sights set on securing second place. Arriving at Brands Hatch only 2 points clear of his closest rival, Micah knew he had to finish in front of the #27 car in each race to secure second overall.
Practice went well on the Friday with Micah setting the second fastest time in his class but in qualifying he could not replicate his form and could only manage 5th with his rival securing pole position bringing with it an extra point.
In Race 1 Micah battled through to secure 4th place at the flag but his rival won the class taking him ahead of Micah in the Championship however at post-race scrutineering the #27 car was disqualified for a technical infringement moving Micah into 3rd place for the race and back into second place in the Championship.
As they lined up for the last race of the season Micah knew he had to beat his rival to secure his position and at the start the #27 car stalled on the grid and was hit by a further two cars putting him out of the race. Micah now only had to finish to secure second. Micah followed his teammate home in 4th position which was enough to be crowned vice champion.
Micah finished in 2nd place in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Pro-Am Championship with 4 wins and a total of 9 podiums.

“This weekend was really important for me to secure the points we needed for the championship and I’m happy we got the job done. I have really enjoyed my first year in Porsche Carrera Cup GB and I’m pretty happy with the results overall.
I want to thank the Team for giving me a great car every weekend and all of my partners that have supported me this season, without them this wouldn’t have been possible.
We will now start preparing for next season”.
