Sixth podium of the season For Micah Stanley at Knockhill

Micah Stanley continued his run of form with another podium and a strong haul of points to keep his Porsche Carrera Cup GB Pro-Am championship aspirations on track at Knockhill in Scotland at the weekend.

Having never been to this circuit, in Fife, Scotland, Micah qualified an impressive P4 in the Pro-Am class but contact with another car in the opening lap of race one caused damage to the steering of his Redline Racing Porsche Carrera Cup car, preventing him from moving up the field.

Starting from row eight on the grid for race two which was live on ITV 4 Micah made a great start passing four cars on lap one. By lap 14 he had moved into P2 in the Pro-Am class and was chasing down his team mate who was leading the class. With two safety cars during the race Micah was unable to mount a challenge for the lead and had to settle for second place at the flag, giving Micah his sixth podium of the season and a Redline Racing a 1-2 finish.

“It was my first time at this circuit and with limited testing it was very challenging. I was a little disappointed with race one as we had some contact early on damaging the car, but we still managed to collect some valuable points. Race two was much better and we made up places but with the safety car periods it shortened the race but I’m still happy with another podium”.

The next round of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship will be at Croft in Darlington on the 18th & 19th of September.
