Two poles and two podiums for Stanley at Oulton Park
20 year old Monégasque Micah Stanley continued his championship challenge in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Oulton Park this past weekend (31 July / 01 August) with two pole positions and two podiums.
Following a five-week break since the last rounds at Brands Hatch, the Carrera Cup GB made a welcome return at the picturesque Oulton Park.

in the dying minutes of qualifying.
Race one saw Micah make a blistering start holding the lead into turn one from his championship rival. For the next 14 laps Micah held off the intense pressure and as they went onto lap 15, he managed to create a gap which he extended to 7 seconds over the #33 car giving him a lights to flag victory, his second win of the season.
Race two took place on Sunday afternoon in front a full trackside crowd and the live ITV4 television cameras. Stanley capped off his best weekend in the championship so far with a brilliant drive to second, finishing just 2 tenths behind the leader.
Micah Stanley: “I’m really happy with the weekend and another great haul of points towards the championship although I’m a little disappointed that a small mistake cost me the win in race 2. I’m looking forward to the next round at Knockhill but we have a lot of work to do as I have never been there before.
”
Simon Leonard – Redline Racing: “Micah was absolutely fantastic across the weekend and he’s making some great progress in the championship”.
The 2021 Porsche Carrera Cup GB season continues in just two weeks’ time with the annual trip north of the border to Knockhill in Scotland (14/15 August).
